A Purity Alphabet

Here are a “top 10” list of verses that exhort us to guard our eyes and heart through God’s Word (ESV quotations).

How can a young man keep his way pure?
By guarding it according to your word

Put false ways far from me
and graciously teach me your law!

Turn my eyes from looking at worthless things;
and give me life in your ways.

Your hands have made and fashioned me;

We have the additional revelation of the New Covenant, with the living Word—the alpha and omega (Rev. 21:6;22:13)—residing in our hearts by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:11,16). May we benefit from the “washing of water by the Word” (Eph. 5:26), and practice the wisdom of God’s design for sex through His enablement.
