No Porn November Initiative

An estimated 1 million people are using the opportunity of No Porn November to try to quit porn!

What is No Porn November Month?

National No Porn November Month is a time to become both aware of and take a stand against the harmful impacts of pornography on our children and families.

Why is this month being celebrated? Here is the dark side of pornography: children are exposed to pornography as young as eight years old; pornography is fueling sex trafficking; divorce rates have doubled for those who watch porn; families are being split apart due to porn addiction. [1]

Why pick the month of November?

November has become a month of intentional challenges—from growing mustaches for men’s health awareness to writing novels. We believe it’s the perfect time to explore another dimension of human experience: what happens when we step away from artificial stimulation and turn toward authentic connection?

People choose this path for countless reasons: improving mental health, enhancing relationship quality, ethical considerations, personal growth, physical wellbeing, neurological health, or spiritual practice. Your “why” is personal and valid.

Our hope is simple: that you, and thousands like you, will commit to abstaining from pornography for the month of November. Not as an end in itself, but as a beginning—a collective experiment in human potential.

A cutting edge educational resource

Brain, Heart, World is a three part documentary series on the harmful effects of porn. It is available for free personal viewing at https://brainheartworld.org/Watch

For Christians, November—the month when we traditionally celebrate Thanksgiving— is quite appropriate. Scripture counsels us,

Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,

“Awake, O sleeper,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”

Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:11-16
